What It's Like to Hand Your Wedding Florals to Someone Who Cares as Much as You Do
Share
There's a moment — every bride has it — where you have to let go of a piece of your wedding and trust someone else to get it right.
For a lot of couples, florals are one of the scariest pieces to hand off. You've seen the photo. You know the exact shade of ivory, the way the greenery should fall, the spacing between the pillars down the aisle. What if it doesn't look like that? What if it looks... almost right, but not quite?
I think about this a lot too.
A Story From Last Season
One of our couples last year had been planning their ceremony arch for over a year. She'd saved the photo of the arch — warm white, antique gold accents, that deep botanical green threaded through — back when she was barely engaged. By the time she found Flora, she'd seen a dozen florists quote her for fresh arrangements that came close, but not close enough, for two or three times the price.
When she sent us the photo, she said something like: "I know this is really specific. I just need someone who gets it."
So we got it.
We matched the palette, the proportions, the exact feeling of the photo she'd been holding onto for a year. On the day, she walked into the ceremony space, stopped, and just... stood there for a second. Her photographer caught it — that pause before the tears. Not because it was close to what she wanted. Because it was what she wanted.
That's the moment I built Flora for.
Why This Is the Part That Actually Matters
Anyone can sell you flowers. What you're really looking for — especially if you've already done the research, already know your colours, already have the vision — is someone who won't make you compromise on it.
You shouldn't have to "meet in the middle" on your own wedding. You shouldn't have to choose between the look you've wanted and a number that makes sense.
When you know what you want, the right partner doesn't talk you out of it or talk you into something "almost as good." They just build it.
If You've Already Got the Vision
If you're the kind of bride who has the folder, the palette, the exact feeling already mapped out — we'd genuinely love to see it. Send us the photo. Tell us what it needs to feel like. That's the whole job, and it's the part I love most.
Fall dates are filling quickly, and a few are already gone. If you know what you want, let's make sure you don't lose the date before we've even talked.
